By that time there will be three other high end CPU released from various vendors. After some delays Poulson will finally be out by 2013 from Intel. IBM's POWER7+ will have surfaced by then. AMD has Pile Driver based cores on their socket G34 platform too.
There are a couple of consumer parts that'll probably be worth including for curiosity's sake. Nintendo has their Wii U console coming out by the end of this year. Microsoft and Sony will at the very least have announced next gen consoles by the end of 2013 though I doubt they'd be released in time for inclusion. Smart phones based around the Cortex A15 should have arrived. GPGPU is starting to be a feature on smart phone GPU's too and performance per watt should be interesting there.
And I'm sure I'm missing a few things.
At this rate, you might as well just redo everything to make a full fledged 2013 efficiency article.
