Question to Linus Torvalds, according to this article

Con quit because he believed that there is no enough focus on desktop performance in kernel development. One of the key points was that the current cpu scheduler in standard kernels isn't appropriate for desktops. As we are approaching quad cpu desktops in the mainstream will there be a renewed focus on improving Linux performance on the desktop?
