About RWT
| 01-01-2001Real World Technologies is an independent professional organization dedicated to providing articles and whitepapers from knowledgable researchers and professionals for the purpose of improving the fundamental understanding of computer related technology for engineers, scientists and enthusiasts. As such, all articles and forum access are available to the public without requirement of membership.
The organization and business model of this publication is different from most others. All articles are conceived, researched and written by their authors on a volunteer basis. No assignments, deadlines or quotas are given. All authors have direct experience in the industry, or are involved in post-graduate research. As opposed to the standard copyright agreements that pervade the industry, each author retains full copyright of any material published and grants Real World Technologies a license to publish.
Members are provided with special benefits not available to the public, such as discounts from selected vendors and a membership newsletter providing information about activities and upcoming articles. You may become a member either by signing up and paying a membership fee, or by contributing articles or services to the organization.
Contributors are granted a complimentary one-year membership with some additional benefits. If you are interested in becoming a contributing member, please send an email directly to membership@realworldtech.com for complete details on requirements, benefits and a copy of the contributor's agreement.
The publication is supported solely by membership fees, which pay for overhead, expenses incurred by contributors, member services and materials used for testing and evaluation. This allows Real World Technologies to persue research and publish articles without consideratoin of whether the information presented will affect revenues or acquisition of products for testing.
