Doubt that link time code generation hurt more than C
itself in terms of productivity.
C is a crappy language. Not expressive enough to reduce LOC.
Not precise enough that real stuff still have to be done in
assembly. Not safe. Doesn't interact well with tools.
Doesn't support design methodologies. The list goes on.
Have to live with C because that's required on current
project. But really dislike it.
