AMD is always in real trouble. But a combination of a
company with a too-big too-hot GPU and a company with
a too-slow x86 cpu design would be the least of their worries.
And if the AMD/ATI merger is any guide, the path to a
combined CPU+GPU product would be quite lengthy.
