The position I have taken at this point is that AMD and Intel are at 'parity' for the time being (vs. 'AMD Rulz!'). Based upon the poor press given the P4, I think it is good for a few percentage points of market share before Intel shores up all of the areas that have been perceived as weak. Perhaps 6 months?

After that, I get the feeling that AMD will start feeling the power of the P4 line, and will need to make sure they bring out the Hammer on time. BTW - official roadmap (FWIW) indicates Clawhammer sampling in Q4 '01, and Sledgehammer sampling Q1 '02, with both shipping in production the next quarter...
