I found a couple patent apps that are close to what I was thinking, but they're focused on eager execution of branches and using both cores for one thread each executing a different branch path.
this one is almost the same
I have no idea if this got implemented, but you'll notice the diagrams look oddly like bulldozer at least from a simple diagram perspective.
