Interrupt handling depends on the programming language/plataform than on hardware, if important the software can check if the values would generate an interrupt and then call the apropriate routine, OpenCL doesn't supports interrupt handling at all so it doesn't matter.
And I don't remeber of a single software relying on it either, the first thing to do when working on fp is to mask interruptions...
