I don't think it's crazy that Apple might want that, but I'm skeptical it will happen.

I don't see why it helps Intel to fab ARM chips that are destined for notebooks. I realize that Intel is first and foremost a manufacturing company, but it would be pretty tough to swallow fabbing Atom for a customer, while pushing Atom.

Also, AMD does not have any drivers for ARM. They definitely won't bother developing them either. I wrote a bit about that, but edited it out (and just put it back in).

Yes, I think it's possible that the low-end notebooks could do ARM. Perhaps a macbook air, but not the Pro models.
