I agree that a lot of Apple's success in these new product categories was because they were willing to take on this financial risk where others weren't. Even then it is easy to see that Apple grossly underestimated the success of the iPhone, based on its high initial sales price. As they saw the initial sales and were able to ramp up production they were able to quickly lower the price.

The initial Android devices trying to compete with both iPhone and iPad had to endure much lower margins or be cheaper to make. This is still a problem for Android OEMs as selling Android devices is inherently riskier due to the much greater competition. Lots of OEMs sell lots of models of Android phones and tablets, only Apple sells iPhones and iPads.

A lot of Apple's ability to beat the competition on cost early on was because due to the supply chain they'd already set up for the iPod. As the world's largest buyer of flash even before the iPhone, plus buying many other electronic components and having a lot of iPods already made in China they could use this market power to get their cost lower than most of the competition.

Bullshit. The first one had a single core SoC, and I'm not even sure there were any mobile devices with a dual core ARM in April 2010, let alone quad core. Apple never makes any "promises" about how many cores they'll have in a future version of a product. I don't know where you got this crazy idea, but you need to source it if you are going to defend this statement.

Show some stats to prove it. I haven't seen anything to indicate that Apple's sales percentages for phones or tablets among women are significantly different than that of Android devices. You seem to be making an "Apple = fashion, fashion = women, therefore Apple = women" argument or something. All the early adopters of iPhone I know were men, which is generally true for any sort of early adopters in technology. The first few GS3s I saw were owned by women - I can make a similarly poorly constructed argument to yours "GS3 = too big for some pockets, women = carry phones in purses, therefore GS3 = women". ;)
