Is Cinebench a totally useless benchmark?

No, scaling perfectly with clock alone doesn't make it like Dhrystone. Dhrystone is extremely limited because it's completely L1 resident, branch predicts very well, and uses highly synthetic and non-representative code. The only thing you can say about something that scales perfectly with clock speed is that it doesn't spend a lot of time waiting for external memory transactions to finish, assuming that those are happening on an independent clock to begin with. That's a much, much weaker statement.

Cinebench is a benchmark of an actual real world rendering software called CINEMA 4D.

Given these numbers, it's hard to make a strong statement about scaling with clock speed anyway, since the different CPUs under the same uarchs didn't have widely different clock speeds to begin with, and the numbers aren't exactly the same. And we don't know what the memory was clocked at or what its timings were set to.
