A little wiki research can give you some informations about new SKU. IMO Skylake will be another Sandybridge from the market impact point of view, i hope in a solid bump in IPC (peak FLOP/s is useless for the bulk of Pc users). Anyway just now Haswell is clearly IPC castrated to stay in the thermals and to allow absurd 11W TDP Tablet SKUs. In my knowledge Haswell was born like an IPC champion, still it was trunched at some point of the development to allow thin ultrabooks.
About the 2x in upcoming years (not one year and half or with Skylake), they say this not me and they weren't more specific in their press conferences.
Ask to Intel Haifa, the right teams are there :)
