Take this anyway you like, pretty much no one here puts any stock into what you say or the random marketing slides you post and parrot. Most of us here have been following the semi industry for decades. We've seen all the boasting from TSMC before. We've seen the so called elimination of the process gap before. IF, and that's a MASSIVE IF, someone actually delivers on their marketing, we'll take notice. But this isn't the first time that TSMC has over-promised and under-delivered.
And quote honestly, most people who actually care are more interested in Idsat and Ioff, as these are what are going to be a lot more important than minor quibbles about M1 pitch.
And no TSMC 16nm as described by TSMC is not a half node from Intel's 14nm. About the only thing that changes from TSMC 20nm to TSMC 16nm is the transistors themselves. They are both using the same metal stack.
So how about you leave and come back when TSMC 16nm actually IS in volume production, not when TSMC projects or says they are in volume production and when they are actually within 18 months of Intel on process instead of the close to 24-32 months they generally trend towards...
