Actually this war is not nearly about oil as much as it is often made out to be.
People in this administration are bent on reorienting foreign policy in a radical way and they have been thinking about it since the '90s. They are often called 'neoconservatives. Check out ( www.antiwar.com ) for a more accurate view of reality than the 3 letter networks would have you believe.
Iraq is just the first step in that region, a 'beachhead or springboard if you will.
It would be the trojan horse; the oil is just a bonus, the icing on the cake.
