I don't know the person Paul DeMone. I do not think he is a liar or
a criminal or to be hated. I sharply criticized a single small facet
of his doings. Should I ever meet him or deal with him, I will not
expect him to be of bad character. I realize that I cannot expect
much sympathy from him after what I wrote, but that is purely
my own fault.

I'm not sure he could accept an apology so quickly after what had
to be seen as an insult, but if Paul ever hints that comments like
mine are just what takes the fun out of writing articles, I owe the
community something like a ritual suicide ... (well, the virtual
equivalent would hopefully suffice)
