Besides it's unlikely that there's a waterfall approach between ImgTec and Apple, where Apple receives some IP only when it's fully finalized and only then reports back with its feedback and bug reports. Considering the share of ImgTec's business Apple commands my assumption is that Apple has access to the next generation of ImgTec's products early on. They also probably have a significant involvement in establishing design goals and provide significant feedback before ImgTec's IP is finalized.
