I find the Taiwanese label 'strawberry generation' much more accurate and descriptive. But of course, it has been found offensive.

Anyway, it's nothing new, the 'every child is special' phenomenon has been around for some time. At the same time, it is probably an overcorrection from the days of 'the nail that sticks out'. So it might another generation or two to find balance in treating the little shits right.
