Considering how slow an A57 is compared to an Apple processor at the same frequency there probably isn't a big difference. I would guess Mathematica have spent their time porting and fixing any bugs and getting the whole business to work properly without bothering with the problems of checking other packages. They probably will switch to using external packages soon enough.
