Not to badger you either AM, because I've nothing wrong with you any part of your comment. You engineers are well able all, for cut and trust of it. But, I don't even develop an open source project, having a passing interest in technology. And I'm aware of Linus's call on behalf of the community of developers for this basic request, for quite some time. That is doing something.
And again, I'd reiterate, this is not in any way aimed at the contributor engineer AM, above.
But there must be some fairly deaf bunch of f***wits in the ARM world, that they can't hear these polite requests to deliver something that the software guys can use, for a number of years now. They get a whole software ecosystem that they use, on the backs of these guys, and they can't do something in return. Simulators, just aren't cutting it. Because that's code running on top of x86 metal. They need the real metal, in some kind of a chassis. That's it.
