I do not know how good is Crossover now.

Nevertheless, I have used Crossover during several years, with Office 2003 Professional.

At that time Office 2003 did not work with Wine, but it worked perfectly with Crossover.

Moreover, to my surprise, Office with Crossover actually worked better (i.e. faster and more stable) on Linux than on Windows XP. I do not know the reason, maybe NTFS was slower than the Linux file system.

I was extremely content with Crossover and I happily paid several times the small license fee for updated versions, until I moved to another company where I no longer needed the same environment, as I was working mostly on remote servers.

Unfortunately, I do not know if Crossover has kept up the good work.

Office 2003 was actually a decent package, much better than StarOffice or whatever it was called at that time. Nowadays I hate Office 2013 so much that I prefer to work in LibreOffice whenever I am not blocked by some compatibility issue.
