I forgot to mention that there exists also the variant where the original Zen process is still used, but the higher speed interfaces are implemented using a much larger area than in the original Zen and also consuming more power.


While the much larger area cannot be excluded, because the new I/O dies are quite large, the larger power consumption of the high-speed interfaces in the original 14 nm process seems to support the supposition that they do not use that process, but the IBM process.
