Snapdragon 855 has no external PCIe, but it has USB3. So, latency of SSD wouldn't be what most of us accustomed to, but throughput should be adequate.
Personally, if I ever forced to develop for WinARM, I would do it in the same way as I developed for WinCE-ARM more than decade ago.
I.e. , except for remote debugger agent I wouldn't even try to install development tools on target machine.
And not only because the target is weak. I prefer to develop on my main desktop PC at work even when target is much stronger than it.
BTW, are there 855 laptaps around that are not made by Sony or Microsoft?
Somehow those are two vendors I have prejudice against.
