If you stick to programs people care about and use often, at least you'll satisfy some people. You can say "Ryzen's better for blender renders" or "Intel's better when running GTA V".

Geekbench is just suboptimal because its little test programs don't clearly map to a real world task.

They don't, but I like seeing what CPU designers are trying. I'd also like to run arbitrary stuff on A12X. That would be fun.

There's no doubt they have really strong mobile chips. Unfortunately for them, even several year old Snapdragon SoCs are 'good enough' for mobile, because people don't do heavy work on tiny cell phone screens.

I bet that's why Android has a massive market share lead.

If Apple brought a 4 GHz A12X-like CPU to the desktop market, they might get some decent market share. We can dream right?
