Why major web browsers don't feature convenient "No JS" switch?

Why major web browsers don't feature [built-in] convenient "No JS" switch?
Will they lose corporate funding if they provide simple JavaScript on/off button, like one in K-Meleon?

On somewhat related note, why they don't provide convenient built-in simplified session management based on local storage? Is it because they are afraid that it will reduce a usage of various cloud-based sync features?
