and
"we will support intel for years to come, and have more hardware in the pipeline" ?
The good thing is: Linus will finally get his standardized ARM platform for Linux, with hardware that is practical for day to day use. With any luck, that standard will stick around after Apple has switched away from ARM again.
Additionally, I predict that benchmark numbers obtained on Threadripper 3000 Hackintoshes will be flung around a lot in internet forums. :)
