People have been suggesting this but it makes no sense to me. Apple doesn't need to switch to ARM to lock down their OS so it only runs applications installed from their store, they could have done that anytime in the past decade with x86 Macs. So why would switching to ARM cause them to make such a change when they could have done it at any time?
