There was a conspicuous absence of any "ARM" mention. Apple presented that new Macs will transition to Apple designed SoCs. However, current high performance desktops are not just a system on a chip, as they include at least a discrete GPU. It would seem to make sense for Apple to (initially) keep using AMD's discrete GPUs that they have lots of experience with, and focus on the rest. It would seem to make sense that they'd keep USB-C/Thunderbolt/PCI-E, no?
