Point of interest is that the System volume in macOS 11 is cryptographically sealed, meaning essentially that a hash is computed for every file, and that hash tested against its (stored in metadata) correct value on every file access.

So what?, you say. Well, reason this is interesting is replace the term hash with the term "error correction code" and ...
Sure, this is not exactly the same thing (in particular there's the issue of what's the unit of granularity, the entire file or some smaller unit in the case of very large files), but it's a very close cousin to having ECC active on the volume.

A second new feature of 11 is that Time Machine backups can now be performed to an APFS volume. So an obvious next step for Apple might be to introduce this same mechanism, perhaps with the same crypto-strength hash, perhaps with a weaker hash, for Time Machine volumes...

Again, so what? you say. Well "... Parallels Desktop for Mac software makes it simple for businesses and individuals to use the applications and files from any operating system they need on their Macs".

I have always believed that Apple will not consider it their job to provide Windows (in x86 or ARM) form on Apple Silicon Macs. But they won't stop anyone else from providing this if they want to, Parallels and VMWare being the two obvious contenders.
