Apple should hit 1700 this year. 2100-ish is only 20% above that.
There's nothing wrong with their performance projections, nor with their use of GB5.
I do however want to point out silliness in the x86 power figures and comparing them against the phones. Although the methodology is fine and essentially matches what I do at AnandTech - obviously a phone platform is much more efficient in terms of power optimisations. I do not believe that Phoenix will ever hit 4W in an actual desktop/server product in idle-normalised load because even something as simple as the DRAM will use more power than that.
