I am waiting with a lot of curiosity disclosures about the new microarchitecture.
Already since last year there was a rumor that Zen 3 will have a floating-point throughput higher by 50% than Zen 2.
Supposing that the rumor was true, that would mean that the new FPU is able to do 3 (256-bit) FMAs per cycle, instead of 2.
For now, the presentation said that not only the integer execution unit is wider, but also the FPU is wider, without any other details.
So it is possible that the rumor was true, but we will probably learn that around the launch on November 5.
