If minor upper hand with CPU or GPU performance was meaningful, either Sony or MS would rule the market (which one depends on what generation one considers) and Nintendo would be dead. Or perhaps Google would now rule, since Stadia is designed support variety of hardware, so they could take the performance crown any time they want.
If Apple becomes a significant player in traditional connect-to-TV console market, it will have very little to do with their hardware.
