Broken in Broadwell.
Broken in Skylake and its many derivatives.
Broken in terms of side channels.
HLE already ignored for good now.
RTM not getting any love anymore.
RTM even stealing a perf counter.

In hindsight, TSX has been an abject failure. A poster child for Bob Colwell's "complexity begets fragility".
Heck, a poster child for "the perceived needs of one or two customers should not burden everyone else with any extra effort".
disclaimer: I personally profited from TSX, getting paid to debug its failures.
