I think that the person in the video, tried to divulge to the mass, that the energy is not directly attached to the electrons themselves.
And to be honest, i think he did not succeed to the task, because he omitted to explain accurately the implications of the field theory.
Unfortunately, the advances in physics concepts are not diligently updated, by the overall mass-media and teaching panels, this 10M+ views video is a good example of that.

Personally, i'm still getting triggered about "a particle moving in empty space".
