Those are interesting observations but you have to admit that very few consumers deciding between a Mac or Windows care about a 15% difference in single threaded CPU performance. For the vast majority of consumers it comes down to the better security and privacy of a Mac versus the lower price and more third-party desktop software for Windows. Being able to run some iOS/iPadOS apps on Macs sounds great in theory but it’s currently much too difficult to find good apps in the Apple App Store. When developers start making good use of Apple’s Neural Engine to do things that can’t be done at all on Windows PCs, that could become a significant difference maker.
