The issue is not one of grudges.
What happened then explained why nV STOPPED being used.
But then Apple Silicon happened, Apple's own GPU happened, and non-Apple GPUs become a liability that had to be tolerated (for a while) but not something to actively be sought out.
Do you interpret Apple's lack of interest in providing an AMD GPU, or a new Xeon-based Mac Pro in terms of grudges? Or in terms of "Apple has a different strategic direction from supporting that type of tech"?
Apple had a much more justified grudge against Samsung, but at the end of the day, it was not that grudge that moved them from SS to TSMC, but the fact that TSMC was willing to do whatever it took to provide a good technical match to Apple's strategic direction. (And it's hard to argue that either TSMC or Apple were wrong to see things that way.)
