Example of mirrored wafer?

I have never seen a patterned wafer with bilateral symmetry.

I also have no idea how the litho tool would make this work with a reticle.

Or do you mean two equivalent dies in a single reticle (so the
reticle has bilateral symmetry)? If so, I understand how it might
work but an example would be nice.

If you example is for chiplets that are expected to be bonded together
to make a single chip out of many dies, I would expect that the symmetry
was to keep the busses that need to talk to each other in the center
of the collection rather than a strategy to salvage partial dies ...
