That's not true, at least not true anymore, for in order CPUs that was true, but once OoO comes out (and evolved a bit) having a single stack wasn't a problem anymore, Pentium Pro was able to rename stack positions and extract some paralellism, K7 did a very good job, you are worried about a solved problem.
