Please post how it actually works, while still being applicable to understanding branches in computer source codes. If you post an explanation that won't be applicable to branches, your post will be pointless (off topic).

The QM idea I posted was an analogy. If you believe that it was something else than an analogy, then you misread/misunderstood that part of my post.
