Whether one says x86-64, x64, iAMD, AMD64 or even whatever name Intel gave theirs that I can't really remember off the top of my head, we all know what is being talked about.
In a few years when 32 bit x86 systems are no longer in common use, we'll all just say x86 again anyway. After all, no one worries about specifying that they are talking about 32 bit x86 systems when they say "x86", even though it could mean 8086...
