Architectural details about Nehalem is starting to surface. One significant detail is that Nehalem will have double the Floating Point performance, and will have double the SpecFP06 scores.

Of course, the caveat is that its using the SpecFP06_rate benchmark. Still, it points out to the possible improvements in the execution core. Perhaps it now has the ability for all 3 FP units to execute SSE simultaneously(rather than current 2+1).
