So don't buy Nehalem CPUs from tier-1 vendors.
Intel's official price for X5570 is lower than AMD official price for Opteron 8382, 8384 and 8386.
I'd imagine one could buy almost 3 Supermicro or Tyan dual-X5570-based servers at price of a single IBM x3755 with 3 IBM-branded Shanghai Opterons.
