RAID 0 – ATA/66 vs. ATA/100

OK, here is the big one we’ve been waiting to see: RAID 0, ATA/66 vs. ATA/100. Will the extra burst speed show an advantage?

Simply put – no, just like ATA/66 vs. ATA/100 on a non-RAID single drive system. One could point out the very slightly higher ATA/100 Winbench Disk Transfer scores and the HD Tach Avg, Read Speed, they are just a bit better then when run at ATA/66. While there is a difference, it is so slight it’s even hard to see here looking at the numbers. But it is there, and if you are looking for every little bit of performance it will add to your total system performance.
