Both systems were identical other than the CPU, chipset and memory type. My goal was to measure what a user might see in actual use with commonly used real world applications and games with no special settings to give enhanced results.

WinXP Pro, 1024×768/32bit @ 85Hz, 256MB memory, Maxtor ATA/133 7200-PRM HD (using ATA/100), GeForce 3 Ti 200, FAT 32, BIOS settings at default or by SPD.
